Appeals Court backs Ohio on voter ID
The federal appeals court here ruled Tuesday that Ohio could require absentee voters to provide proof of their identities. The decision overturned the ruling of a federal district judge, Algenon L. Marbley, who granted a temporary restraining order last week to labor and antipoverty groups that claimed county elections boards were enforcing that new requirement inconsistently.
